Dear friends and allies!
Few days ago, the team of the Russian LGBT Network was named as 2017’s Hero of the Year by All Out, one of biggest organizations promoting and supporting human rights of LGBT people all over the world. The team of the Network was chosen as a result of the open competition, thousands of All Out members voted. The Russian LGBT Network was named the Hero of the Year for the evacuating those at risk of violence and persecution in Chechnya because of the mass campaign organized by the local authorities.
We are grateful to All Out for constant support; we remember that All Out was the first organization that offered its help to crowdfund money for the evacuation of people from Chechnya.
We are grateful to everyone who voted for us; we cannot express how much it means to us.
We are grateful to every member of the Russian LGBT Network. We have already rescued more than 100 people, and we managed to do so because the Russian LGBT Networks consists of all of us. We are grateful to everyone who supported us – we cannot name all the people and organizations involved, but we would like everyone to know about that support.
The persecutions of LGBT in Chechnya are continue. But we will proceed with our work, and we ask you to go on supporting us.
